    Dr. Riya Mohan is a clinical cardiologist who completed her Cardiovascular Fellowship at Broward Health Medical Center, with a strong focus on preventive cardiology. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Miami/JFK GME Consortium and holds an MBBS degree from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. Before moving to the U.S., Dr. Mohan served as a Surgeon Lieutenant Commander in the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard for six years, providing comprehensive primary and emergency medical care to troops and their families, coordinating medical evacuations, and leading preventive health initiatives in both military and civilian communities. 

    With nearly a decade of diverse clinical experience across military and civilian sectors, Dr. Mohan is deeply committed to improving cardiovascular health through a preventive approach and patient-centered care. She is board-certified by the National Board of Echocardiography and in nuclear cardiology. A member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and other professional societies, she actively advances evidence-based practices in cardiology while mentoring peers and advocating for high-quality patient outcomes. 

    Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Mohan enjoys being a mother, traveling, and cooking. Fluent in Hindi and Malayalam, she connects easily with a diverse patient population. Above all, she is known for her dedication to her patients and her belief that prevention is the best strategy for building healthier, longer lives.
